When you subscribe, you get bill credits, which reduce your electric bill, and SunCentral bills you for them at a discounted rate.
When you subscribe to community solar, you are subscribing to a portion of the energy the solar farm generates. Your utility company places credits on your electric bill. SunCentral bills you at a discounted rate for the solar credits you receive.
For example, your electricity bill is regularly $100. When you subscribe to community solar, your bill could have $90 in solar energy credits, and your bill to the utility company is $10. SunCentral charges you $81 of your solar credits received. This saves you $9 or 10% for the month. You can expect to save the equivalent of approximately one month’s electric bill each year!
